St. Simons Island Lighthouse is one of only 5 lighthouses in Georgia. It was built by Charles Cluskey in 1872 and has
a tower of 104 feet. In 1953 it was automated.
The only real information I could find on this particular lighthouse was that in March of 1880 the Keeper and his assistant
got into an arguement that killed Frederick Osbourne, the keeper. Footsteps are heard within the lighthouse.
